A dolphin's sharp teeth help it catch fish, its main food.

Dolphins: Scientist feel are the most intelligent animal.

I began my journey of finding more about dolphins with World Book online for kids (grades k-5).  For this age group I fell it is a wonderful resource. It's easy to read artices and fun activities for the kids make them want to come back for more. Next I looked into World Book Online Info Finder for older age children.  Here I found a lot more information.  It includes more articles, more learning resources, and more tools.  This section is going to be helpful with the older children.

At the beginning of the World Book Online Reference Center there is all kind of information right at the beginning.  I like the South Dakota government tab and Current events right away.
I decided to look at a country that I had never heard of before so I picked MayotteMayotte, «mah YAWT», is an overseas island possession of France in the Indian Ocean off the eastern coast of Africa.  With World Book online you can get all the inforamtion that you will need.  I like the fact that you can look at magazine articles that have been written on the country.  Also any other information that you may be looking for.

  1. Great start on the Challenge, M! We love World Book because it has something for every age. You've described your findings well, and we hope you'll share this with your patrons, young & old. Thanks for the laughing dolphin picture--it really perked me up this morning! :)
